You’ll depart from your local pick-up point in the morning, and by mid afternoon you’ll arrive at your hotel in Great Yarmouth. The remainder of the day is at your leisure, so why not explore this wonderful seaside resort?
Great Yarmouth has been a popular seaside destination since the late 1700s and the resort is now one of the best in the UK. The promenade, known as the ‘Golden Mile’, is lined with entertainment venues, as well as rides and attractions which overlook the excellent beach. And there are plenty of other attractions to keep you entertained; there’s the Sealife Centre where you can meet denizens of the deep, the Pleasure Beach with its thrilling rides, and for those who enjoy more relaxing pastimes, there’s the wonderful Nelson Museum where you can learn all about Britain’s most famous Naval Commander.
After breakfast, you’ll head to Norwich, the county town of Norfolk and a fabulous time-capsule which tracks the early history of Britain.
You’ll be able to discover all the secrets of Norwich when you visit, as it has been named the ‘City of Stories’ and is Britain’s first designated UNESCO City of Literature. There’s so much to discover, and a wealth of visitor attractions and museums to choose from; there’s Norwich Cathedral with its spectacular Norman architecture, the Museum of Norwich where you can learn all about this fabulous city, and of course, Norwich Castle which is one of the most imposing fortresses in Britain – you’d have to be mad to want to lay siege to it!
After breakfast, you’ll spend the day along the Norfolk coast, visiting two of the best seaside resorts in Norfolk. In the morning, you’ll head to Sheringham, a small and utterly charming little resort which began life as a fishing village. It’s a wonderful place to wander, with a glorious beach and several small museums tucked away amid the quaint streets.
In the afternoon, you’ll be whisked off to neighbouring Cromer, famous for its ‘Cromer Crab’ and a favourite haunt for families looking to enjoy a traditional day at the seaside. Cromer Pier is home to the only remaining ‘end-of-the-pier’ variety show. There’s also a museum dedicated to the most decorated lifeboat-crew in RNLI history. And if you want something a little different, then why not visit the Amazona Zoo, where you can see a plethora of wild-life from South America!
You’ll start the day with a relaxing paddle-boat cruise along the Norfolk Broads. You’ll board a purpose built, luxury paddle-boat in the lovely village of Horning and travel along the River Bure to Ranworth Broad and back, passing some beautiful sights and no doubt catching a glimpse or two of the wildlife which calls the Broads home.
In the afternoon, you’ll head back to Great Yarmouth where the afternoon is yours to do with as you like. Either wander through the town and enjoy the atmosphere or maybe take in some of the attractions you didn’t have chance to see earlier in the trip.
After breakfast, you’ll re-join the coach and head home, where you’ll be dropped off at your preferred drop-off point.
