Itinerary

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pickup point, we make our way to the hotel arriving mid to late afternoon.

Day 2

Enjoy a scenic drive through the Lake District, travelling north via Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere– and finally onto Keswick. We spend time at leisure exploring this lovely market town with plenty of shops, restaurants and museums to browse.

Day 3

Today we visit Kendal. The market town has intriguing streets, yards and ginnels making for a relaxing, high quality shopping experience with a mix of contemporary high street brands and characterful, local independent retailers.

Day 4

We start the day at The World of Beatrix Potter™ Attraction. See scenes from the famous stories brought to life in mesmerising displays, the most famous of all being The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Next we have a cruise on Windermere, taking in magnificent scenery, then finishing the day at Lake’s freshwater Aquarium. Meet the UK’s largest collection of freshwater fish, watch the otters at play and walk under the lake while the ducks dive above you.

Accommodation

Grand Hotel

Set within the Lake District National Park, the Cumbria Grand Hotel is the ideal base to go and explore one of the most beautiful parts of England. The hotel is nestled in 20 acres of private gardens and woodlands and overlooking Morecambe Bay near the village of Grange-over-Sands. The traditionally styled bedrooms all have en suite, TV and hairdryer. The hotel has a lift but, due to the age of the building, there are many internal steps. Back to top
