Day 2

We begin the day with a short drive to nearby Scone Palace. Once the crowning place of Scottish kings where Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II were crowned, today it is bursting with treasures from hundreds of years. You can wander down the Long Gallery where King Charles II strode to his coronation in 1661 and admire the needlework skills of Mary Queen of Scots bedhangings that she worked on while in prison. We return to the hotel for an early dinner before heading to Edinburgh for the Tattoo. Take your seat on the Esplanade for an unforgettable night.
