Itinerary

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pickup point to the hotel in Perth.

Day 2

We begin the day with a short drive to nearby Scone Palace. Once the crowning place of Scottish kings where Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II were crowned, today it is bursting with treasures from hundreds of years. You can wander down the Long Gallery where King Charles II strode to his coronation in 1661 and admire the needlework skills of Mary Queen of Scots bedhangings that she worked on while in prison. We return to the hotel for an early dinner before heading to Edinburgh for the Tattoo. Take your seat on the Esplanade for an unforgettable night.

Day 3

Day at leisure in Perth. Explore the city at your leisure with ancient lanes and alleyways leading to a modern shopping hub as well as a host of museums and galleries.

Day 4

Return journey home.

On account of the event’s ancient and historic setting (the Esplanade), some may have difficulty accessing the venue. The Salutation Hotel

The Salutation Hotel is situated in the heart of the historic City of Perth. Reported to be the oldest established hotel in Scotland, The Salutation has been welcoming guests through its doors since 1699. All rooms have en suite, TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift, but due to the age of the building it does have internal steps. Back to top
