Day 1

After a morning departure from your local pick-up point you’ll head to Winchester, where you’ll have the afternoon to explore this wonderful city. This area has been inhabited since pre-historic times, and there are many fascinating stories to discover which take you on an amazing journey through British history, from the Roman and Norman conquests, to the Tudors and Victorians. Why not visit the absolutely stunning Cathedral, which is in fact the longest in Europe and home to a gorgeous illuminated bible and 12th century wall paintings. There are also numerous museums detailing the military history of Hampshire, as well as parks and gardens to explore and excellent shopping opportunities amid the charming streets.

Day 2

You’ll spend the whole day at the Dorset Steam Fair, taking in the sights and wandering through the displays. If you feel like taking a break, why not head to the music stages where you can enjoy music from all types of genres and eras, both from original and tribute bands. Make sure you catch one of the displays, and visit the WWI Centenary Commemoration.

Day 3

After checking out of the hotel, you’ll head to Oxford where you’ll have time to explore before the journey home. Oxford is one of the most beautiful cities in the UK, and a firm favourite with film and television producers as a filming location. Why not take a walking tour of the Harry Potter film locations, or simply wander on your own and see what you can recognise. There are also numerous museums to choose from and even the chance to visit one of the University of Oxford’s 38 colleges and have something of a nosey into the hallowed halls of the oldest university in the English-speaking world!
