Itinerary

Day 1

Morning departure from your local pickup point to Skipton. Here we have a few hours at leisure before continuing to the hotel.

Day 2

Today we have a steady but grand tour of Lake Windermere stopping at Bowness on Windermere, Ambleside and finally Hawkshead before returning back to the hotel for a well-deserved meal.

Day 3

The day begins with a trip to Eskdale where you will board the elegant Ravenglass Railway to Ullswater Steamers. The tour includes a journey on Ullswater from Glenridding piers and a return steam trip on the railway from Ravenglass station.

Day 4

After breakfast, we depart for The Lake District Wildlife Park, a 24 acre with over 100 species of wild and domestic animals cared for in a beautiful setting. The wildlife park has a café, cooking homemade meals and don’t forget the gift shop! Afterwards, we head just 10 minutes down the road to spend the remainder of the afternoon in Keswick, a stunning, bustling town.

Day 5

After a leisurely breakfast we make our way home, calling at Bury market for a spot of lunch and some last minute bargains.

Accommodation

Cumbria Grand Hotel

Enjoy an unforgettable stay at the historical Cumbria Grand Hotel. Built in 1880, the hotel is located in Grange-Over-Sands, a pretty village on the edge of Cumbria. The traditionally decorated guest rooms are all en suite and have hairdryer, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift but due to the age of the building there are some internal steps.  Back to top
