Itinerary

Day 1

We have an early pick up and make our way to Dover for our Channel crossing. Overnight near Dijon.

Day 2

South through France, cross into Spain and on to Roses for a 7 night stay.

Day 3

This morning, join an included boat trip from Roses to Cadaques with a guided walking tour on arrival. Our journey takes us alongside spectacular cliffs speckled with caves and vegetation. Admire this picturesque white fishing town, set between mountains, which has inspired artists like Dali, Picasso, and Matisse. Now known for its art galleries and workshops, it's ideal for browsing local art or strolling the cobbled streets. Visit the 16th-century Church of Santa María for baroque architecture and sea views. In the afternoon, return by boat to Roses and enjoy your free time.

Day 4

A guided excursion to Beziers, France for a boat trip on the Canal du Midi. There will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the views. The popular Canal du Midi was a major engineering achievement at the time of its creation during the French Revolution. As you enjoy lunch on board, sit back with a glass of local wine and take in the views of medieval bridges, delightful villages and lovely countryside. Late afternoon, arrive back in Beziers and return to Roses.

Day 5

Spend a relaxing day in this seaside town. Explore the historic centre or stroll the promenade for fresh sea air. Enjoy some local cuisine at a waterfront café, browse charming shops for unique souvenirs, or simply relax on the sandy beaches as you listen to the soothing sound of the waves. For those seeking a bit more adventure, consider renting a bike to ride along coastal paths or join a boat tour to see the coastline from a new perspective.

Day 6

A guided excursion and cruise around the small archipelago of the Medes Islands. The Medes Islands offer a unique opportunity for wildlife watching and pristine natural beauty. In the afternoon, visit the mediaeval villages of Pals and Peratallada.

Day 7

A guided excursion to Barcelona and with an included boat trip from Barcelona Harbour. The afternoon will be free to explore the city. Barcelona Harbour, also known as Port Vell, is a historic waterfront area revitalized for the 1992 Olympics. It's a popular destination with attractions like shopping malls, an aquarium, and a scenic pedestrian walkway. The harbour is part of the larger Port of Barcelona, one of Europe's busiest ports, handling both commercial and cruise traffic. Port Vell offers a blend of leisure, commerce, and maritime activities, making it a vibrant part of the city.

Day 8

A day at leisure to relax in Roses.

Day 9

Depart Roses and return to Dijon for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10

Channel crossing to Dover and home.
