Day 1Travel to your hotel and Tatton Park
On the journey to your hotel, stop off at Tatton Park. This imposing 18th century house sits within a landscaped deer park and is opulently decorated with a grand array of antiques and furniture. The theme of Victorian grandeur extends outside with an Orangery, Rose Garden and Italian and Japanese gardens providing year-round colour and more than 200 years of garden design and history.
Day 2Manchester Ship Canal Cruise
One of the most popular days out in north west England, the cruise on the 35 miles of the Manchester Ship Canal offers spectacular scenery and a lively commentary that tells the story of how this magnificent waterway shaped the city of Manchester and the north west of England. The six-hour cruise takes you through locks and bridges built more than 100 years ago and reveals some of the region’s most stunning architectural and natural sights. You can start your cruise in Liverpool or Salford Quays, with free time at the end of the cruise to explore your destination.
Day 3Concorde & Runway Visitor Park
Manchester Airport's Runway Visitor Park houses the flagship Concorde of the British Airways fleet.
Concorde Tours give visitors the opportunity to experience Concorde and learn more about this famous aircraft. The Runway Visitor Park is also home to several other aircraft as well as locations from which to view the airfield.
Day 4Museum of Science and Industry & Home
Today we will visit the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry before we start our journey back home.
The Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, England, is a large museum devoted to the development of science, technology, and industry with emphasis on the city's achievements in these fields. The museum is part of the Science Museum Group, a non-departmental public body of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, having merged with the National Science Museum in 2012.
