The Royal Hospital, Chelsea is one of our most fascinating national institutions. Housing 300 veterans of various conflicts, the Hospital’s residents look forward to guiding visitors around their home, answering questions and revealing the history of this wonderful building, which was designed by Sir Christopher Wren at the behest of King Charles II in 1692.

After a morning departure from your local pick-up point, you’ll arrive in London by the mid-afternoon. You’ll have some time to explore the city before re-joining the coach and heading to the hotel.
You’ll arrive at the Royal Hospital in Chelsea, where you’ll be guided round the house and grounds by one of the Chelsea Pensioners, who will be an absolute fount of knowledge. Lunch will be provided in the Coffee Shop, which has been providing delicious food to the Pensioners, staff and general public since 2011.
