The town of Inveraray enjoys a picturesque setting on the shores of Loch Fyne where it meets Loch Shira. Just a short walk north of the town is Inveraray Castle, the family home of the Dukes of Argyll.
We start the day with a scenic journey through the Trossachs, made famous by Sir Walter Scott’s Rob Roy. We take in the sights of Loch Katrine and make stops at Aberfoyle and Callander.
Today we explore Loch Lomond. We begin in Luss, famous for the filming of TV series ‘Take to Highway’, then we continue through spectacular scenery to Inverbeg as we head towards Tarbet with stunning views of the magnificent Ben Lomond across the Loch.
The hotel surrounds the pretty village green of Drymen on the east side of Loch Lomond. Picture yourself soaking up the atmosphere of this 18th century Inn, sitting beside the roaring log fire whilst enjoying the traditional entertainment. Ground floor rooms are available.
