Today we will pick you up from your local collection point and make our way to Hull to join the ferry for our overnight crossing to Zeebrugge.
Evening meal and breakfast on the ferry is included in the price.
Day 225th October
This morning we begin exploring the historic centre at your lesuire, a good starting point is the Grote Markt, the main square in the centre of Bruges, bounded by ornate, historic gabled buildings. The Town Hall and the fascinating Church of the Holy Blood are popular attractions and at the Cathedral of Our Lady you can see a statue of the Madonna by Michelangelo. On one side of the square is ‘Historium Bruges’, an interactive experience telling the story of Bruges from the 13th century to the present day. At the Duvelorium Grand Beer Café you can learn about the different varieties, or simply enjoy a beer or two as you look out across the square. Meanwhile, the gardens of the Beguinage provide an oasis of calm away from the busy tourist streets.

Day 427th October
With a street map in hand, take a stroll along Bruges’ historic streets and discover beautiful views and buildings along the many waterways that give the city the nickname of the ‘Venice of the North’. We take a boat cruise on the canals to see the sights from a different angle. Back on dry land you might want to climb the steps to the top of the Belfry for panoramic views across the rooftops. This afternoon, Enjoy a lace-making demonstration at the Lace centre and be fascinated by this intricate art and perhaps visit the adjacent museum. Don’t forget to visit to visit one of the family-owned chocolatiers to purchase tasty souvenirs.
