Historic sites like City Hall and Victorian markets shine under Christmas lights, welcoming everyone to enjoy the season.
Day 2
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast in the hotel, the day is yours to explore the city. The Belfast Christmas Market, set against the impressive backdrop of Belfast City Hall, is a cherished festive highlight in the city’s calendar. Each year, the grounds of City Hall are transformed into a vibrant winter wonderland, brimming with brightly decorated wooden chalets. Visitors can sample an array of international and local delicacies, from traditional bratwurst and Belgian chocolates to homegrown artisan cheeses and sweet treats. The market is renowned for its lively atmosphere, with twinkling lights, seasonal music, and a variety of stalls offering handcrafted gifts, festive decorations, and unique souvenirs.
If you are visiting the world-famous Titanic Museum, during the festive period there is a magical atmosphere, with the iconic building often adorned in festive lights and seasonal decorations. One of the highlights of your break is a delightful day trip to the renowned Dublin Christmas Market. We travel to Ireland’s vibrant capital, where the market comes alive with sparkling lights, cheerful music and an array of beautifully decorated stalls. Wander through the bustling marketplace, sampling traditional Irish treats and browsing handcrafted gifts from local artisans. Take time to explore the nearby city centre, perhaps visiting famous attractions or simply soaking up the festive spirit that makes Christmas in Dublin so special.
Day 4
Following a busy day, spend today at leisure in Belfast.
Day 5
After breakfast, we head to Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, a must-visit destination during the Christmas season. Located just a short drive from the city, the castle comes alive with seasonal charm, its elegant State Rooms beautifully adorned with twinkling lights and traditional decorations. The gardens are transformed into a winter wonderland, sparkling installations, and magical displays that capture the spirit of the season. The café serves up seasonal treats and warming drinks, perfect for enjoying after a stroll through the grounds. Every year, this historical Palace hosts a different theme for Christmas time. We return to Belfast in the afternoon.Day 6
We will depart from Belfast and commence our return journey, taking note of the remaining features of the surrounding landscape.
