Sunday We arrive in Liverpool with time to explore the vibrant Albert Dock area before checking into our nearby hotel.Monday Today’s journey into Liverpool’s Titanic connections begins with a guided walking tour, uncovering stories of key figures such as; Captain Edward Smith and Fred Fleet, the lookout who first spotted the iceberg. We visit the Grade II-listed home of Thomas Ismay, founder of the White Star Line, and his son J. Bruce Ismay, whose escape from the Titanic sparked controversy. We reflect at Britain’s largest cathedral before stepping into Titanicera elegance with a sumptuous Afternoon Tea, based on original menus and served with Heidsieck & Co Monopole champagne, just as it was aboard the ship. This experience takes place in the opulent Royal Insurance Building, now home to a hotel.
Tuesday Enjoy free time exploring Liverpool at your own pace. In the evening, we celebrate Liverpool’s musical heritage with a special visit to the Cavern Club, the birthplace of British pop music and the venue where The Beatles performed 292 times! Enjoy a buffet dinner at the Cavern Club Restaurant before heading across the street to the legendary venue. In the intimate, brick-vaulted cellars adorned with 1960s memorabilia, live tribute acts bring the spirit of the era to life.
Wednesday After checking out of the hotel, we have more time to enjoy Liverpool before departing at 2pm. You might choose to visit The Beatles Story (entry not included) or simply soak up the atmosphere of this vibrant city.
