Monday We travel north with a lunchtime stop in Shrewsbury, a historic town known for its timber-framed buildings and riverside charm.
Tours at Resort
A | We head towards the northern Lakes to visit Dalemain Mansion, a Grade I listed country house and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dating back to the Saxon era, it features exquisite Chippendale furniture and award-winning formal gardens. Enjoy a guided tour and a marmalade tasting, then return via the scenic Kirkstone Pass.
B | Explore the southern Lakes with a 75-minute cruise on England’s largest lake, Windermere. Take in stunning views of mountains, wooded islands, and historic buildings. We stop for lunch in Bowness and pass by the tranquil Coniston Water.
C | Travel east to County Durham for a curated tour of the Bowes Museum, a French-style chateau founded by John & Joséphine Bowes. Discover their remarkable love story and world-class collection of European fine and decorative arts. We also visit Barnard Castle, a charming town with a dramatic riverside fortress.
Friday We return home with a lunch break at Trentham Shopping Centre, offering a mix of shops, cafés, and garden walks.
