8 Days | Riva del Garda

Lake Garda is one of the most stunning locations in Europe! The lake includes three regions and encompasses colourful and diverse lakeside towns, each offering a new experience and we visit three including Riva del Garda itself. Riva del Garda which sits on the lakeshore overshadowed by spectacular mountains. There is a pretty and historic centre, great shops and peaceful lakeside walks. This year we also visit Lake Iseo and our hotel is meters from the shore of the Lake in a privileged location that is also close to the town centre. There is a welcome drink on arrival and a gala dinner followed by live music on one evening.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.

Sunday To France and on to our overnight hotel, the Kyriad Dijon Mirande.Monday We skirt the edge of Switzerland before entering the Alps and into Italy via a drive through the Mont Blanc Tunnel which passes under the highest mountain in Europe. Then on to our main
hotel for five nights, the Hotel Sole, where we are met with a welcome drink.
Tours whilst at resort
A | We don’t venture far today, however we do visit two beautiful towns on Lake Garda. First to Malcesine, a medieval town perched on the edge of Lake Garda under the shadow of Monte Baldo.
Then to the southern end of the lake where we make a stop on the pretty peninsula of Sirmione, the town has a medieval centre and lovely piazza.
B | We visit Verona, a city alive with myths and home to a huge Roman Arena plus Romeo and Juliet’s balcony.
C | We visit Lake Iseo, the smallest of Italy’s great lakes which is home to fishing villages tucked into deep bays, backed by an amphitheater of snow-capped Alpine hills. We visit the town of Iseo which is on the banks of the lake and has elegant shops and restaurants in its medieval village layout.
D | A free day to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Maybe visit a lakeside town that we haven’t visited by boat (not included).
Saturday We return to the same overnight hotel.
Sunday To Calais and we return home.
