Enjoy a wonderful journey through the Scottish Highlands where snow is likely to still be on the hills and mountains. This holiday is filled with breathtaking scenery, a memorable rail trip, and a cruise on Loch Ness. Our base is Newtonmore and our hotel provides a glass of wine with dinner on the first night, a hot drink with shortbread on one afternoon and two nights of entertainment.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.

Itinerary
MONDAY We travel into Scotland, passing through the beautiful landscapes of the Cairngorms National Park en route to our hotel in the Highlands. After settling in, enjoy dinner this evening, accompanied by a welcome glass of wine.TUESDAY We head to Inverness to board one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys, travelling to Kyle of Lochalsh. Sit back and admire ever‑changing views of lochs, glens and dramatic Highland scenery, with glimpses of the Isle of Skye along the way. On arrival, our coach meets us for a scenic return journey via Lochs Duich and Cluanie, with impressive views of Ben Nevis.
WEDNESDAY This morning we travel to Fort Augustus for a relaxing 50‑minute cruise on the legendary waters of Loch Ness. After free time for lunch, we visit the Loch Ness Centre for a self‑guided tour, exploring the history, folklore and enduring mystery of the loch before returning to our hotel.
THURSDAY A FREE DAY to relax in Newtonmore and enjoy the surrounding Highland scenery, or perhaps take a short local train (not included) to Inverness - where you can explore the city’s riverside walks, independent shops and historic old town. In the afternoon, we return to the hotel where we are treated to a hot drink and traditional shortbread.
FRIDAY After breakfast, we depart our hotel and begin our return journey home, taking with us memories of Scotland’s stunning landscapes and rich heritage.
