Pembrokeshire is known throughout the world for its awesome coastal scenery and its golden sands are backed by towering cliffs. Tenby is one of the UK’s favourite seaside towns, it is steeped in ancient history and surrounded by an imposing medieval stone wall.

MONDAY Into the Brecon Beacons and we make a lunchtime stop in the town of Brecon, a picturesque market town famed for its Georgian architecture. More Beacon scenery as we continue to Tenby.
TOURS AT RESORT
A | We begin our day with a visit to Haverfordwest, the attractive county town of Pembrokeshire, known for its rich history and a wide variety of shops, cafés, and local markets. Then, we follow the scenic coastal road famously dubbed the ‘Seventeen Hills in Sixteen Miles’, passing through the dramatic shoreline of Newgale, with its vast pebble beach and sweeping sea views. Our journey continues through the quaint village of Solva to St Davids, the smallest city in Britain, where time is allowed for lunch and a visit to the magnificent St Davids Cathedral—the largest in Wales and a spiritual landmark steeped in centuries of history.
B | We begin the day with a scenic coastal drive through Lydstep, taking in sweeping sea views and dramatic headlands. We stop at the striking St Govan’s Head, where a tiny chapel is nestled into the cliffside. We continue to our lunchtime stop in Pembroke, a townsteeped in history and dominated by its magnificent medieval castle—birthplace of Henry VII. The castle’s imposing walls and tranquil riverside setting make it a highlight of the day. In the afternoon, we visit Narberth, a lively market town known for its vibrant high street filled with independent boutiques, artisan shops, and welcoming cafés.
C | A FREE DAY to explore Tenby and later the hotel provides an afternoon of fun (if you wish to join in) and a complementary cream tea.
FRIDAY A lovely drive through the Brecon Beacons follows by a lunchtime stop in Abergavenny.
