Itinerary update - 11/02/2026

Monday We travel north to our hotel, with a lunchtime stop in the historic town of Shrewsbury. We are met with a drink on arrival.

Tuesday To the highly redeveloped area of Salford Quays for a short stop, we will be dropped by the Imperial War Museum (Free entry) or if you would prefer can explore the Quayside area over the Millennium Bridge. In the afternoon, we visit Dunham Massey, a grand Elizabethan mansion surrounded by elegant French-style formal gardens. A guided exploration of the house brings its rich history and aristocratic past to life.

Wednesday To Rawenstall for the 0925 single journey on the East Lancs Railway to Bury. In the afternoon, we head to Wigan Pier for a two-hour cruise aboard the Kittywake, offering a unique perspective on the Industrial Revolution. The cruise includes a journey through a working lock and a traditional Afternoon Tea served onboard.

Thursday  We travel to Haworth for the steam train to Keigly on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, a heritage line steeped in charm. After free time in Keighley, we continue to Hebden Bridge, a picturesque market town surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Voted both the “Greatest Town in Europe” and “Best Small Market Town in the UK,” it’s a delightful place to explore. Expect stunning views throughout the day on our scenic circular coach route.

Friday We return home with a stop with a lunch time stop at Trentham Shopping Centre.
