Sunday We make our way to North Wales and to our overnight hotel, the Celtic Royal Hotel in Caenarfon. We arrive in time for you to explore the town or the UNESCO Heritage site of Caernarfon which lies close by (not included).

Monday Onto the Isle of Anglesey and to Holyhead where we board our ferry to Dublin, it is the morning ferry so we will enjoy breakfast on board rather than at the hotel. We then cross Ireland
making a short stop in Athlone on the banks of the River Shannon. Our hotel for the next four nights is the Castlecourt Hotel in Westport.

Tours at Resort
A | Along the Wild Atlantic Way to Connemara National Park which has long been regarded as the real Emerald of Ireland with its stunning vistas of scenic mountains, valleys, lakes and spectacular coastline. We have a private tour at the iconic Kylemore Abbey, home to Benedictine nuns and set in a postcard-perfect landscape. We make a the day a scenic, circular route to enjoy the landscape with plenty of Loughs. We make a stop in the capital of Connemara, Clifden. A vibrant and cosmopolitan town on the very edge of Europe.

B | To Killary Fjord and we spend 90-minutes coasting along rugged North Connemara landscape onboard a luxury catamaran. Take in breathtaking, uninterrupted views of Ireland’s largest glacial fjord whilst the skipper gives a spellbinding narrative of the fjord’s legends of smugglers and heroes. We keep our eyes peeled for playful otters, basking seals, and a variety of birds, with the chance of dolphins. We again make it a circular day out and return by passing through the Sheffery Hills on the banks of Doo Lough.

C | A local guide is on board for a journey through Achill Island, Ireland’s largest and the jewel of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. Marvel at its spectacular scenery, with golden beaches and unspoiled beauty beneath ever-changing island skies. Glide through ancient landscapes, adorned with megalithic tombs and promontory forts dating back 5,000 years. Witness the rugged peaks and valleys along the 23-mile Atlantic drive, featuring stops at hauntingly beautiful sites including the deserted village of Keel and the eerie Slievemore, capturing the essence of Ireland’s wild, untamed majesty.

Friday We take a different route back across Ireland and catch the afternoon ferry from Dublin back to Holyhead. Back in Wales we stay at the Celtic Royal Hotel again.

Saturday The holiday isn’t over as we enjoy a drive through Snowdonia, right by Snowden, before making a lunch time stop in Llangollen.
