The charming town of Grange-over-Sands, often dubbed the ‘Riviera of the North’ for its mild climate, is beautifully positioned on the edge of Morecambe Bay. Its long, elegant promenade offers sweeping vistas and a peaceful atmosphere—perfect for a relaxing stroll.

Sunday North to our hotel making suitable stops enroute.
Monday Today we explore the heart of the Lake District, passing Coniston Water, Rydal Water, and Grasmere en route to the popular town of Keswick, nestled beside Derwentwater. After a lunchtime break, we continue to the stunning Ullswater, often considered England’s most beautiful lake, for a relaxing cruise aboard a traditional steamer from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding. Our return journey takes us over the dramatic Kirkstone Pass, offering spectacular views.
Tuesday We begin with a nostalgic steam train ride through the scenic Leven Valley on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway, followed by a tranquil cruise across Lake Windermere from Lakeside to Bowness-on-Windermere. Bowness is a year-round favourite, known for its lakeside charm and vibrant atmosphere. We also visit Ambleside, a lively village surrounded by fells and woodlands, home to great shopping and the iconic Bridge House.
Wednesday It’s full steam ahead to the Western Lakes for a journey on the historic Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway, affectionately known as La’al Ratty. This scenic ride takes us from the coastal village of Ravenglass through two beautiful valleys to the foot of England’s highest mountains. On our return, enjoy free time in our resort.
Thursday We begin our journey home, with a relaxing stop at the Trentham Estate Shopping Centre, offering a mix of independent shops, cafés, and garden walks.
