Our base for this tour is the pleasant spa town of Harrogate, well known for its tea shops, antique shops, and Turkish baths. We also see some stunning Dale scenery and visit a couple of Dale’s towns.
This hotel was a great success for visits in 2024! The hotel will be extensively decorated and the ‘Xmas Xtras’ have been upped for this year!
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.

Itinerary
Tuesday We travel north and make a lunchtime stop in Chesterfield, famous for its crooked spire and markets.
Christmas Eve We visit York, a famous city with roman roots and a Viking past. We return in time for an afternoon tea and a quiz at the hotel or explore Harrogate if you would prefer from our central hotel.
Christmas Day A relaxing morning and if you wish, ask for a map for a self-directed walk of the nearby Valley Gardens including a treasure hunt. (On our return we will be rewarded with a hot drink or a Sloe Gin!) There is a 4-course Christmas lunch, cake with the King’s speech, a buffet in the evening and bingo!
Boxing Day A circular tour of the Dales with a short stop in Pateley Bridge and a longer lunch time stop in Skipton. Skipton has a 900-year-old castle as well as an impressive marketplace and a historic cobbled High Street. It is rich in both history and natural beauty.
Saturday We return home with a lunch break in the Peak District town of Bakewell.
