Itinerary

Monday We journey to Portsmouth and board the Brittany Ferry at 2130 for the for the crossing to Santander on board Santona. We have included an inside cabin on board and there are restaurants, bars, Wi-Fi, cinema, etc.

Tuesday All day on board.

Wednesday We arrive into Santander at 0800 and travel to the world heritage mediaeval village of Santillana del Mar where most houses were built between the 14^th and 18^th centuries, and all can be explored by foot. Then onto the Hotel Milagros Golf Hotel in Mogro where we can check in from 1400. It is a 4 star hotel located next to the beach with WiFi, indoor heated pool, and jacuzzi

Thursday We leave the Milagros Hotel and visit Comillas, one of the most beautiful towns in Cantabria with cobbled streets, open squares and two beaches. Then make the short journey to our main hotel in Isla where we can check in at 1400 and are met with a welcome drink and canapes.

A | A full day in the Picos De Europa Mountain Range. First, we make a stop in San Vincente de la Barquera, a picturesque town on the coast with the astonishing backdrop of the Picos de Europa. Then we follow the River Deva Valley up into the mountains and visit the town of Potes, a mediaeval town with traditional buildings, wooden balconies and surrounded by mountains.

B | To the traditional fishing village of Castro Urdiales with its pretty harbour and attractive centre, before we visit Santona. We take a boat trip around the pretty bays with beautiful views of the region.

C | We spend the day in Bilbao which has the internationally renowned Guggenheim Museum. There is also a historic quarter with seven pedestrianised streets running perpendicular to the river.

Wednesday We make our way to Santander and board our ferry at 1400 for the return journey. Again, an inside cabin is provided.

Thursday We arrive into Portsmouth approx. 2000 and make the journey home.
