Germany’s Romantic Road is a scenic route that showcases the country’s rich history and breathtaking landscapes, and we visit may of its towns on this tour such as the medieval towns of Würzburg, Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Nuremberg. Our hotel is in the Franconia region, which is a wonderful part of the Romantic Road and combines fascinating history with excellent food and drink.
Our hotel is a family run, traditional hotel located in the market square and offers a welcome drink, 3-course Franconia themed dinner, two nights of entertainment, and two included drinks every day (except for the day we have our wine tasting).
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.

Saturday To France and our overnight hotel, the Globales Post Hotel, Liege.
Sunday Into Germany and on to our base for five nights, the Hotel Gasthof Zum Storch. Before dinner we have a welcome drink.
Tours at Resort
A | Through the Franconian vineyards to the scenic city of Würzburg, and our guide shows us places such as; the Rococostyle little chapel of Kappele, the stunning Marienberg Fortress on the river and St Killien’s cathedral. In the afternoon to the beautiful half-timbered town of Tauberbischofsheim, for a short, guided tour including the glockenspiel in the town hall. We return via Lauda-Konigshofen and Weikersheim.
B | To the Bavarian old town of Rothenborg od ber Tauber for a 90-minute walking tour to see its medieval archiectecture, preserved houses and the gothic church. Following free time we travel to Ippesheim, known as ‘Franconian Wine Paradise’. We have a guided tour of some vineyards, including coffee and cake, before enjoying typical Franconian Snacks accompanied by a tasting of four wines. A unique day savouring the sights and tastes of the area.
C | A relaxing day in resort today that starts with a guided tour of Schlüsselfeld, one of the smallest towns in Germany. Following free time for lunch we visit the town’s brewery, where we learn about the process before having a taste.
D | All-day in the famous town of Nuremberg, we have a 90-minute guided walking tour that includes the old town, imperial castle and towering St Lawrence church. In the afternoon, there is free time to explore at leisure.
Friday We return to our overnight hotel in Liege.
Saturday We return home.
