ItinerarySunday We travel to Kent with a lunch break in Windsor.
Monday In the morning we travel to Royal Tunbridge Wells and then in the afternoon we visit one of England’s most famous and romantic gardens, Sissinghurst, with its famous twentieth century garden. Entry to the Castle Buildings is also included. Throughout the day we travel through pretty Kent villages including Pluckley, the setting for the filming of The Darling Buds of May.
Tuesday Enjoy the best of the Kent Coast as we first travel to Deal, a unique and special place that is classed as the prettiest seaside town in Kent. Then on to the Royal Port of Ramsgate with its grand harbour and the longest wartime tunnels in the UK, where residents took refuge and lived underground, just steps away from a beautiful golden beach.
Wednesday In the morning we visit historic Hever Castle and gardens with its enchanting double-moated castle and 125 acres of spectacular gardens. In the afternoon we visit Rochester with its
Charles Dickens connections and grand cathedral.
Thursday We return home with a stop in Guildford and a scenic drive back across the Hog’s Back.
