This tour explores it all and provides the opportunity to discover the unexpected along the way. This year we have added a visit to Suffolk Punch Horse Trust for a guided tour and a tractor trailer ride.

Itinerary
Friday We travel towards Suffolk with a stop in St Albans, a jewel of a city with history, culture plus great food and shopping.
Saturday We begin in Saffron Waldren where we can marvel at the rich heritage of buildings, reflecting the wealth of this medieval town, today is market day which has been held here since 1141. Then on to Audley End House & Gardens, one of the most opulent Jacobean Houses. We learn about life both above and below stairs, see impressive works of art and the glorious gardens re-modelled by Capability Brown.
Sunday A local guide is on board for a half day tour of the Essex Coast and Blackwater Estuary. We hear tales of smugglers navigating the many inlets and shifting sands under the cover of mist and darkness. Our lunch time stop is Maldon where Market Hill is lined with timber framed buildings. In the afternoon we visit Green Island Gardens, 20 acres that display a huge range of unusual trees, shrubs, perennials, and bulbs.
Monday To the Suffolk Punch Trust, founded to protect the endangered oldest English breed of working horse. On a guided tour and tractor ride, meet the horses and learn about the history
of this gentle giant. In the afternoon we visit the charming seaside village of Aldeburgh.
Tuesday We return home with a lunch time stop in Windsor with time to explore the town.
