Itinerary
Monday We travel directly to Blackpool, making a brief comfort stop along the way, so you’ll have plenty of time to settle in and enjoy the town before being welcomed at our hotel with a hot drink.Tuesday Today we venture into the Lake District, passing Windermere and making a short stop in Bowness. We continue past the lakes of Grasmere and Rydal before our afternoon visit to Keswick. Enjoy spectacular scenery throughout the day, and after dinner, we’ll take a tour of the dazzling Blackpool Illuminations.
Wednesday We cross the country to Hull, where a local guide will lead us on a one-hour walking tour. Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore Hull’s historic Old Town at your own pace.
Thursday It’s off to the seaside as we visit the Grimsby Fishing Heritage Centre, including a guided tour of a 1950s trawler—thought to be the oldest surviving diesel trawler in the UK.
Later, we enjoy a 45-minute ride along the picturesque coast on the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway. The visit includes a classic fish and chip lunch and a stop at the smallest pub on
the planet! There’s also free time to soak up the charm of this Victorian seaside resort.
Friday We begin our journey home with a stop in the historic city of Lincoln, giving you time to explore before we continue south.
