WEDNESDAY We travel north to Heysham and board the ferry for the scenic three‑and‑a‑half‑hour crossing to the Isle of Man.TOURS AT RESORT
A | Today we visit Ramsey, a lively town with a bustling shopping street, a picturesque harbour, and a fine sandy beach. We then continue to Peel, a charming historic fishing port renowned for its Manx kippers and dominated by its impressive castle ruins. Expect beautiful coastal and countryside scenery throughout the day.
B | A tour of the island’s southern region, beginning with Castletown, the former capital. Its narrow streets, traditional houses, and magnificent medieval castle vividly reflect the island’s past. We then enjoy views across to the Calf of Man, where seals are often spotted, before continuing to Port Erin, a stunning bay framed by rugged scenery and crystal‑clear waters.
C | We travel to Laxey, home to the Great Laxey Wheel, the largest working water wheel in the country. There is the option to ride the Snaefell Mountain Railway (not included), which climbs to the island’s highest point and offers breathtaking panoramic views across the Isle of Man and, on clear days, beyond.
