Itinerary

Monday We enjoy our first taste of Cornwall with a visit to Looe, a delightful fishing town steeped in history and nestled around a picturesque harbour. Its narrow streets, waterfront cafés and traditional boats make it a wonderful introduction to the county.

Tours at Resort
A |  Today we enjoy a scenic circular tour, calling at Falmouth and St Ives. Falmouth has long been shaped by its close connection to the sea, blending a rich maritime heritage with a vibrant and creative modern culture. We then continue to St Ives, the dazzling jewel in Cornwall’s crown, renowned for its golden sandy beaches, charming harbour and narrow cobbled streets that invite exploration at a relaxed pace. Between destinations, we enjoy views across Mount’s Bay, dominated by the iconic St Michael’s Mount.

B | We follow the rugged north coast of Cornwall, enjoying a spectacular scenic drive before stopping in Padstow. Set on the banks of the Camel Estuary, Padstow is full of character, with narrow streets leading down to the lively working harbour. There is time to enjoy the town before we return to Newquay, where the afternoon is free to explore at your own leisure, or relax at the hotel.

C | To Boscastle, once the only accessible harbour along more than 40 miles of rugged coastline and a place rich in history and natural beauty. We then visit Tintagel, famous for its dramatic clifftop castle, steeped in the legendary tales of King Arthur. An impressive new footbridge now links the headland to the mainland. Castle entry is not included and is not recommended for those with limited mobility, but we allow ample time for those who wish to visit. Alternatively, you may prefer to remain in the village, where an excellent selection of shops and cafés can be enjoyed.

Friday  On our return journey, we follow the scenic Atlantic Highway into Devon, making a comfortable lunchtime stop in the historic town of Barnstaple, home to the impressive Victorian Pannier Market, before continuing home.
