Visit Scarborough, the famous resort on the stunning Yorkshire coast! We are also close to some stunning inland scenery and this tour ensures we see the best of both, including a drive through the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The 4-star Crown Spa Hotel is located just metres from the cliff overlooking sandy South Beach and has many of the original architectural features still in their prime.

Monday We travel north and make a lunchtime stop in Chesterfield, famous for its crooked spire and markets.
Christmas Eve To Pickering where we spend a short time before we enjoy a drive across the North Yorkshire Moors all the way to Whitby. Whitby, a maritime city steeped in history with a maze
of narrow streets full of shops. There is then a scenic drive back to Scarborough to complete a great day.
Christmas Day All day to relax in Scarborough and enjoy Christmas lunch at the hotel followed by a buffet in the evening. Our hotel is perfectly placed to enjoy a bracing, scenic walk along
the cliff overlooking the beach below.
Boxing Day We visit the Roman city of York, which still retains its medieval wall. There is also the 2000 year old cathedral and ridiculously pretty 13th century timbered streets of The Shambles, (which is believed to be the inspiration of the iconic Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter films!) Plus of course, great food and shopping options!
