We depart and make our way to ourhotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed andbreakfast with tea/coffee and biscuits served onarrival.
The historic city of York is our destinationtoday where we are met by our guide, from YorkBelles, who will escort us on a superb tour of thecity which includes visiting many things youwould not normally see. Afterwards we havetime for lunch and to explore before we leavelate afternoon.
The short journey into the city of Hull,City of Culture in 2017, takes us past thestunning Humber Bridge, once the longest singlespan suspension bridge in the world. Hull offersthe visitor much to see and do, the Old Townwith its little alleyways, shops and historic pubscontrasts with the modern day centre, an idealspot for shopping and lunch.
For our fnal outing we head northskirting the Wolds to Scarborough which isYorkshire’s best loved holiday resort with twobays and the ruins of Scarborough Castle on theheadland between. Take a stroll along theMarine Drive, or make your way to the town witha great selection of shops, cafes and pubs whereyou can fnd an ideal location for lunch.
After breakfast we depart and head forhome.
The Hallmark Hotel
The Hallmark Hotel is located in North Ferriby,
to the west of Hull. A former post house, the
hotel is comfortable and both restaurant and
lounge offer excellent views over the Humber.
All bedrooms are en suite and have TV with
pay movies, telephone, hairdryer and tea/
coffee facilities. The hotel does not have a lift.Back to top
