Admission to Windsor Castle includes entry to the magnificent State Apartments, St George's Chapel and the Semi-State Rooms (winter months only).
The largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, is one of the official residences of His Majesty The King Charles III. It is open to visitors throughout the year. Founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has since been the home of 39 monarchs.
Home of the late Queen Elizabeth II. Your entry ticket includes entry to St George's Chapel where you can view the Royal Vault (not available on Sundays).
To make the most of your time at Windsor, pick up one of the free multimedia guides at the start of your visit. Throughout its history, Windsor Castle has been redecorated, enlarged and rebuilt and today is also used regularly for ceremonial and State occasions.
There's a lot to see and do at Windsor Castle, so please allow enough time to make the most of your visit. We suggest between 1½ and 2 hours.
The Castle is at the top of a steep hill, and the visitor route covers long distances. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes.
St George's Chapel closes daily at 16:00. (closed Sunday for services)

Photography and filming including the use of wearable devices are not permitted inside the State Apartments or St George's Chapel. In consideration of other visitors, mobile phones must be switched off. However, photography and filming for non-commercial purposes are encouraged in the outside areas of the Castle Precincts. #WindsorCastle
