We make our way to Lancaster to arrive atour hotel where we enjoy the next two nightswith dinner, bed and breakfast.
After a leisurely breakfast, we travel toUlverston for the 17th century DickensianChristmas Festival which attracts thousands ofpeople every year. Wander around and take inthe wonderful atmosphere of a traditionalmarket town in the Dickensian era where there isa beautiful traditional fairground and lots ofmusic from Folk to Brass bands. The fabulousChristmas market has a great choice of unusualgifts and festive food and you will have plenty oftime for Christmas shopping in a greatatmosphere.
After a hearty breakfast we head toUllswater where we have a trip on the UllswaterSteamer. Without doubt this is one of theLakeland’s best-kept secret which offers visitors acalmer more relaxing experience on the lake.Later we make our way back to the West Country.
