We depart and make our way to StMawes arriving late afternoon at the Ship &Castle Hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner,bed & breakfast.
Our first visit is to the Grade II listedport of Charlestown, featured prominently in‘Poldark’. The harbour was built in the 18thcentury to support the china, clay and coppermining industries. Later, we travel to thevillage of Mevagissey, a picturesque fishingvillage with colourful old buildings and itsphotogenic 18th century harbour
We enjoy a half day excursionto Padstow, a delightful fishing port with aquaint fishing harbour made famous by RickStein’s popular TV series. We return to St.Mawes to explore at leisure or relax at thehotel.
Today we visit the bustling cityof Truro with its flowing rivers picturesquestreets 18th and 19th century town housesand magnificent cathedral that dominates the city. We continue on to explore the delightsof Falmouth. Strolling the bustling cobbledstreets visit Falmouth’s charming mix ofshops, from specialist outlets to well knowhigh street names and art galleries. Try not tomiss the chance to visit the National MaritimeMuseum in Falmouth.
After breakfast we depart for home.
