Provisional itinerary:

We depart and make our way north arriving during the afternoon at the Blackwell Grange Hotel for the next 3 nights stay with dinner, bed and breakfast. Enjoy a drink before dinner and a relaxing evening of light entertainment.

This morning we travel to the ancient and historic city of York. The city offers the visitor lots to see and do including the National Railway Museum, York Minster, The Shambles, quaint little shops, olde worlde pubs and much more. We have time to explore and obtain lunch before we leave in the afternoon and return to the hotel to get ready for tonight's superb medieval banquet, held in the amazing Lumley Castle - “Come live like Lords and Ladies of a bygone era and enjoy a hearty feast fit for a King!” Entertainment is featured and after the show we return to the hotel.

Today we begin with a drive to the famous Beamish North of England Open Air Museum, capturing the spirit of the North East in the 1800's and 1900's. Remembrance Sunday is the day traditionally put aside to remember those who gave their lives in the line of duty. Buglers will play The Last Post at 11:00 and other commemorative events are taking place including the Beamish Choir performing First World War songs. Beamish attractions include restored tram and replica bus rides, authentic town street, colliery village, old fashioned sweet shop, steam locomotives and more. In the afternoon we head back to our hotel. This evening after dinner we have more musical entertainment.

After breakfast we head for home with lunch included on the way.
