Monday
We depart and make our way toNorthumbria, arriving late afternoon at ourhotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed andbreakfast and tea/coffee and biscuits are servedon arrival.

Tuesday
This morning we head to the Rising SunCountry Park, enjoying the outdoors and wildlifeit brings. Next, we visit Tynemouth Priory whichcontains a 13th century chapel, as well as aWW2 gun battery. This afternoon we visit StMary’s Lighthouse, reached between the tidesvia a causeway, where you can access the visitorcentre and lighthouse tower to learn more aboutthe islands history. We then travel via Blyth,where we can stop for tea, coffee or ice cream bythe beach.

Wednesday
We start with a short drive toNorthumberlandia, home of ‘The Lady of theNorth’, a stunning human landform sculpture ofa lady, standing 100 ft in height and spanning a1/4 of a mile. We then travel to Morpeth whereyou can visit its weekly Wednesday market andexplore the historic market town. Later we stopat Woodhorn Museum a 19th-century coal minenow a museum and heritage centre where youcan wander the grounds or museum. Next, wemove to Seaton Deleval Hall where you can strollaround its gardens or see its dramatic halls aswe finish off our day.

Thursday
Today we visit the Maritime Centre atNewbiggin where you can enjoy the exhibits orenjoy a walk by the beach at this seaside town.Next we drive via Walkworth Castle to Alnwickwhere you can explore the historic town. Laterwe go to Rothbury where we have a quick stop,before visiting Belsay Hall, Castle & Gardens,regarded as the first British country house to bebuilt new in Greek revival style. We return to thehotel for our final evening

Friday
After breakfast we leave our hotel andhead for home.
