Day One
We depart and make our way to Alnwick and ourhotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed & breakfast.
During your stay
• Free day in Alnwick. Perhaps visit the quaint shops nearby to the hotel in the towncentre, or perhaps visit the famous Alnwick Castle & Gardens (extra).• Journey through beautiful countryside to the capital of Coquetdale, Rothbury, whichwas once a popular health resort where people came to take the air in its riversidesetting of wide-open spaces and delightful scenery.• Kielder Water & Forest Park, home to the largest man-made lake in Northern Europeand 50% of England’s native red squirrel population so keep your eyes peeled! Herewe enjoy a cruise on the reservoir with views across the stunning landscape here.• Cross the causeway to Holy Island and the mysterious Lindisfarne Castle – visible inthe distance from Bamburgh. Once here, we enjoy a short guided tour of the village andthe main points of interest and history will be explained.• Visit to Bamburgh for free time, maybe to visit the majestic castle on the beach, or theGrace Darling Museum.NOTE: The crossing of the causeway to Holy Island is governed by tide times. It may benecessary to amend this excursion.
Day Five
After breakfast we depart for home.

Set in the heart of the historic market
town of Alnwick, the White Swan is a
charming, 300-year-old coaching inn that
blends its unique heritage with superb
accommodation. The hotel is probably best
known for its Olympic Dining Suite which
features the magnificent panelling, mirrors
and stained-glass windows from the Titanic's
sister ship. All bedrooms are en-suite with
TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee
making facilities.
The hotel does not have a lift.
