Monday
We depart and make our way to Manchester and our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast. Tea/coffee are served on arrival.
Tuesday to Thursday
• We board a river boat, taking in the Irwell and Manchester Ship Canal on a heritage cruise. We start at Salford Quays, on the Manchester Ship Canal before heading towards the city of Manchester and the River Irwell. Along the route, you will hear stories of the Emma Boat Tragedy (1828) and lifesaving hero, Mark Addy Salford and the 16,000 navvies who dug out the canal.• Free time to enjoy Manchester at leisure.• The city of Liverpool, where we spend the day exploring. Perhaps you could visit the museums and attractions such as Albert Docks• Excursion to Chester Zoo
Friday
After breakfast we depart for home.
