We depart and make our way to ourhotel where we stay for the next 4 nights withdinner, bed and breakfast.
This morning is free for you to spend asyou please exploring Llandudno, known as theQueen of Welsh Resorts. You may like to ride theGreat Orme Tramway to the summit, some 1500metres to the top, to the Great Orme CountryPark and nature reserves and is one of only threecable-hauled street tramways in the world(extra). There is also a fne pier (over 700 metreslong), attractive gardens, shops and restaurants.
After breakfast, we travel toCaernarfon Station to board the Welsh HighlandRailway, Snowdonia’s newest railway. Now fullyopen and with refreshment facilities on board,enjoy a spectacular 25-mile scenic journey,hauled by the world’s most powerful narrowgauge steam locomotive as it climbs from sealevel to over 650 feet as the train crosses the?anks of Mount Snowdon, before dramaticallyzigzagging down the steep hillside to the villageof Beddgelert, then through the magnifcentAberglaslyn Pass and on to Porthmadog. Hereyou will have time to explore the bustlingseaside town before we re-join the coach andreturn to Llandudno
Today we make our way through partof Snowdonia National Park to Llanberis wherewe then board a bus at the Electric MountainCentre for an underground guided tour of theHydro Electric Power Station (Please note:sensible footwear is required for the tour). Onreturning to the surface there will be time toobtain lunch and explore the pretty village ofLlanberis and later make our way to thepicturesque village of Betws-y-Coed.
After breakfast we depart and head for home.
