We depart and make our way toLlandudno where we enjoy the next 6 nightswith dinner, bed and breakfast.
Today’s excursion takes us first toConwy, with its mighty castle, town walls andthree bridges over the river making it one of thefinest townscapes in the country. This afternoonwe ride down the Vale of Conwy to Betws-yCoedand the famous Swallow Falls, returninglater to Llandudno.
A free day for you to explore and enjoythe delights of Llandudno - don’t miss thechance to take a tram ride up to the top of theGreat Orme, the views are tremendous! You mayfancy a wander around the shops, the mainstreet runs parallel with the promenade, ormaybe just relax on the promenade and watchthe world go by.
After breakfast we leave for a fullday tour of Snowdonia, our first visit being to thefamous Llechwedd Slate Caverns, near BlaenauFfestiniog, where we have the opportunity toenjoy a ride on the ‘Miner’s Tramway’ - a veryinteresting and awe-inspiring tour throughcathedral-like caverns. We continue on our waythrough spectacular scenery to Porthmadog,where we take a break. Our return to Llandudnotakes us via Beddgelert and the Pass ofLlanberis, passing Mount Snowdon.
This morning we head along the coastto cross the bridge over the Menai Straits to visitBeaumaris, the Isle of Anglesey’s most popularresort. Before leaving Anglesey we visit theJames Pringle complex at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.Take your camera for a photo by the name. Wecontinue our day with a visit to Caernarfon,where you have chance to visit the magnificentcastle.
Our final excursion takes us along theNorth Wales coast to the ancient Roman City ofChester. You have the chance to explore thefamous ‘Rows’ of two tiered shops, take a strollaround the City Walls, maybe wander down tothe River Dee and enjoy lunch in a riverside pub,or just sit and watch the world go by.
After breakfast we leave Llandudnoand begin our homeward journey.
