We depart and make our way to Cumbria and the Shap Wells Hotelwhere we enjoy the next 4 nights stay with dinner, bed and breakfast.
This morning we head first for Ambleside, continuing on our way todelightful Hawkshead village. Here we have a lunch break and you have thechance to explore the little alleyways and shops. From here we head forConiston Water and join Coniston Cruises for a round-the-lake sail, calling atthe jetties at Waterhead, Torver and Brantwood. This is a very relaxing andenjoyable way to enjoy Coniston’s spectacular scenery. We return later acrossrugged Kirkstone Pass, with the lonely inn at the summit, and Patterdale.
Our day begins with a ride over the rugged Shap Fells to Tebayand Kendal, continuing to Bowness-on-Windermere. Here we spend themorning with a chance to look around the town and shops, maybe visit theWorld of Beatrix Potter exhibition, and to enjoy lunch. This afternoon we enjoya delightful sail along Lake Windermere to Lakeside, at the southern end of thelake. Later we make our way back over the fells
The scenery is fantastic as we make our way to Ullswater and PooleyBridge. Here we sail on board the lake ‘steamer’ to Glenridding. We continue toKeswick where you have time to explore and obtain lunch. Our return takes usalongside picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake to Caldbeck and through pleasantCumbrian countryside
After breakfast we leave and begin our homeward journey

amongst the Lakeland fells, and 30 acres of
grounds, the hotel is an ideal base from which
to explore this beautiful corner of England. The
hotel offers a well stocked bar, lounges and
