Monday
We depart and make our way to Maidstone and our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.
During your stay
• Visit to Maidstone with time to explore.• We board the Kentish Lady for a delightful 3-hour boat cruise. We cruise upriver through Farleigh Lock and onwards under Farleigh, Barming, and Teston bridges, turning at Teston Lock for the return journey. Lunch is provided onboard the vessel in the form of a picnic box served with tea, coffee or water and a selection of fresh fruit. This cruise is a wonderful experience from start to finish, with beautiful scenery and history around every corner.• Excursion to the city of Canterbury. We begin with a visit to the famous cathedral, for a guided tour, followed by time to explore the city.• We journey south through the picturesque Kent Downs to the small resort of Hythe where we join the world-famous Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway - Kent’s mainline in miniature.• Visit to ancient Rye, one of the Cinque Ports that is now some distance from the sea!

After breakfast we depart for home.

Your Hotel:
The Orida Hotel, Maidstone is located off the M20, 10 minutes from central Maidstone. Facilities include an indoor pool, spa and gym and all bedrooms are all en suite with TV, hairdryer, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.
