We depart and make our way to NorthYorkshire and our hotel for the next 4 nightswith dinner, bed and breakfast with tea/coffeeand biscuits served on arrival.
Today we head to the market town ofPickering with its many quaint shops and placesto enjoy before we head to Nunnington Hall; apicturesque Yorkshire manor house with anorganic garden and exciting exhibitions. Explorethe period rooms at your leisure whilst hearingthe Hall's history and many tales. Later we headto the edge of the North York Moors NationalPark and the market town of Helmsley.
Our day takes us to the cityof Ripon with its magnificent cathedral whichis a must to visit. This afternoon we visit thebeautiful Beningbrough Hall, Gallery andGardens with an intriguing history, beginningwith the wealthy teenager who built themansion, its occupation in WW2 and itsre-invention as an art gallery with some100 portraits.
After breakfast we head the shortdistance to the historic city of York where theday is free to explore the fascinating city withmany attractions to hold your attention, such asthe National Railway Museum, Jorvik Centre, theCity Walls, the little streets and alleyways in thecentre, not forgetting York Minster and you mayeven fancy tea and cakes at the famous Betty’sTea Rooms.
After breakfast we depart for home.
