We depart for the north and our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed & breakfast.
During your stay
• We enjoy a ride on the South Tynedale Railway for a delightful journey along the beautiful South Tyne Valley.• We head across the moors to Hexham, with its historic Abbey.• Morpeth where it is Market Day! We have time to explore the town and browse the market stalls.• Visit to Bellingham and Kielder Water
where you can explore the visitor centre,
followed by the Kielder Birds of Prey Centre
which boasts one of the largest and most
fascinating collections of Birds Of Prey in
the North of England including Owls, Eagles,
Hawks, Falcons and Vultures.• We travel to the ancient and historic city of
Durham, acclaimed as a World Heritage Site
and dominated by the magnificent Norman
cathedral and castle, high above the River
Wear.• Visit to Barnard Castle – known as ‘Barny’ to
the locals – and Bowes Museum, just outside
the town. This is one of County Durham’s
biggest surprises. Housed in a majestic
French-style chateau, the Museum opened
in 1892 and will amaze you with its superb
collection of art, including the famous Silver
Swan.

After breakfast we depart for home.

The BW Premier Collection Derwent Manorhotel is set in 20 acres of land and the interior is every bit as impressive as its exterior. All bedrooms are en suite with
TV and tea/coffee making facilities and an indoor pool, sauna and fitness centre.
The hotel has a lift.
