We depart after breakfast andcontinue northwards where wonderful sceneryunfolds before you with high mountain tops andsweeping moorland. We stop off in Fort Williamwithin the shadow of mighty Ben Nevis. Thenheading north, passing impressive Eilean DonanCastle, we arrive at our hotel near Skye for ourovernight with dinner, bed and breakfast.
A magnificent drive across Skye tocatch the morning sailing to North Uist. In theafternoon a scenic coastal tour of Uists passingnumerous tiny lochs and beaches, beforechecking into the Dark Island Hotel, Benbeculafor our overnight with dinner, bed and breakfast.
Today we head north and oursailing to the largest of the Hebridean Islands– Harris. A rugged landscape of moorland,deep-sea lochs and mountains and against thisbackdrop is a proud history dating back toprehistoric times. We travel to the north end ofLewis and to the capital Stornoway for the next2 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.
Enjoy a full day tour ofLewis, including the impressive 5,000 year oldstanding stones of Callanish (Scotland’sStonehenge). Ancient thatched ‘blackhouses’and the imposing Carloway Broch, a fortifiedtower dating back over 2,000 years and finishing with avisit to a Tweed Mill, explaining the history of the famous Harris Tweed..
We depart on the morning sailing toUllapool and head on to Inverness the ‘Capitalof the Highlands’, with free time beforecontinuing south through picturesque SpeyValley and onto our final overnight with dinner,bed and breakfast
