Also you'll discover the history of some of York's most iconic chocolate brands - take a trip down memory lane and reminisce with some retro favourites from times gone by.

You'll also learn the secret of why chocolate makes us feel so good and why it has an ethical and sustainable future. Then it's time to master the secrets of the chocolatier, as you create hand-made chocolates for yourself, before seeing how our very own experts do it. We depart the West Country and make our way to Harrogate where we check in for our 1 night stay for dinner, bed & breakfast. Free time to explore the delights of Harrogate and enjoy Afternoon Tea at Betty's famous teashop.

Day 2
After breakfast we check out of our hotel and you'll enjoy a short scenic journey to York. Free time in York and a visit to The Chocolate Story to depart 4.30pm to arrive home early eavening.

Located in the heart of historic Harrogate, the Cedar Court Hotel Harrogate, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member offers amazing accommodation overlooking 200 acres of the pristine Stray parkland.

While the property is a historic sight in its own right, dating back to 1671 and sitting on the site of the town's first-ever hotel, our Harrogate hotel is only a quick stroll away from some of the must-visit attractions. These include the famous Bettys Tea Room, unique Moorish-style Turkish Baths and Harrogate Theatre.

Elegant function rooms, with large windows offer plenty of natural daylight and views of landscaped garden. The marriage of historic excellence and modern convenience makes our hotel the perfect base for visiting some of the famous sites in town.

The Cedar Court Hotel Leeds/ Bradford is an excellent location for our weekend break and all bedrooms are en suite with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.
