We depart and make our way to the Scottish borders to arrive at our overnight hotel with dinner, bed and breakfast.
We depart after breakfast, travelling past Stirling and into the glorious Highland countryside before reaching your waterfront hotel in Oban where we enjoy the next four nights stay with dinner, bed and breakfast.
After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a morning free to explore Oban. This afternoon we have a half day tour to Seil Island, made famous by the film “Ring of Bright Water.” Enjoy the quaint village of Easdale with its whitewashed fisherman’s cottages and microbrewery for those wishing to sample the local brew.
Today you will travel across to Mull on the ferry and on arrival you will be met by a local coach and driver. We will then travel south taking in the scenery sighting the imposing Duart Castle, reaching the most westerly point of the island, Fionnphort. Here you board the short ferry journey on foot to the small island of Iona to visit the abbey. There are many easy walks in the area and plenty of time to enjoy the island and its beach before heading back to catch your ferry back to Oban.
A scenic coastal drive along the shoreline of the loch takes you to Fort William at the foot of Ben nevis. Free time to explore the main town of the West Highlands. A short drive takes us to nevis Range and the cable car ride into the mountains with walks and magnificent views of Gelncoe, Ben nevis and on a clear day, the Isle of Skye. There is a comfortable bistro and observation balcony.
After breakfast it is time to head back to the borders to arrive at our final overnight stay with dinner, bed and breakfast.
We depart after breakfast and make our way back to the West Country.
