We depart and make our way toNorthern England for an overnight stay withdinner, bed and breakfast.
This morning we continue into SouthernScotland and make our way along the shore ofLoch Lomond to Crianlarich, arriving lateafternoon at Crianlarich Hotel for the next 4nights stay with dinner, bed & breakfast.
We join the Scotrail train at Crianlarichstation for the ride to Oban. The line takes usthrough the Pass of Brander and alongside LochEtive. In Oban we have time to explore the town,have a look at the harbour, enjoy lunch and relax.In the afternoon we take the train back toCrianlarich.
Today we head along Glen Dochartto Killin, with the Falls of Dochart rushingthrough the village. From here we drive alongLoch Tay to Aberfeldy, where we have our lunchbreak. This afternoon we head south along theSma’ Glen to Crieff. Here we visit the GlenturretDistillery, makers of the Famous Grouse, for atour and a wee dram. Our return takes us alongLoch Earn and Glen Ogle to Crianlarich.
We discover one of the hiddenwonders of the Highlands. A power station burieddeep under Ben Cruachan – the hollowmountain. At its centre lies a massive cavern,high enough to house the Tower of London. Thehollow mountain is unique, an undergroundworld on a spectacular scale, a five starattraction, not to be missed. From here we headnorth to Fort William. We have time to explorethis popular town before we are on our way southalongside Loch Linnhe to Ballachulish and LochLeven. The Glencoe Visitor Centre is ourafternoon break and here you can learn all aboutthe feuding clans and the infamous massacre.We return over rugged and awesome RannochMoor to Crianlarich.
Leaving the hotel we make our way intosouthern Scotland and northwest England forour overnight stay with dinner, bed andbreakfast.
After breakfast we make our wayhome.
