We depart and make our way toPlymouth where we enjoy the next 4 nights withdinner, bed and breakfast

Our first visit is to the Grade II listedport of Charlestown, featured in TV’s populardrama series ‘Poldark’. The harbour was built inthe 18th century to support the china clay andcopper mining industries and we visit theShipwreck, Rescue and Heritage Centre. Later wetravel to Mevagissey with its picturesqueharbour and narrow streets with free time toobtain lunch. This afternoon we make our wayto the Lost Gardens of Heligan, created over a200 year period, rediscovered and restored overthe last 20 years.

The morning is free for you toexplore the historic city of Plymouth by ‘taking’a stroll around the famous Hoe, visit theMayflower Steps, adjcent to the Barbican Centreor browse around the city centre shops. In theafternoon we have an included boat trip aroundthe harbour and naval dockyards.

For our final day we drive to ruggedBodmin Moor and stop at the Jamaica Inn withits Daphne Du Maurier associations and amuseum filled with smuggling artefactscollected over many years. From here we go tothe North Cornwall coast and Tintagel with itsdramatic castle ruins, and also the prettyharbour at Port Isaac, setting for TV’s “DocMartin”.

After breakfast we head for home
