We depart for Dover and ferry to France, before continuing to our overnight stop in Metz.
Continuing through the Rhineland we arrive in the Austrian Tyrol and our hotel.
After a leisurely breakfast the day is freeto explore your new surroundings. Enjoy coffee/tea and cake at the hotel.
We start our day with a trip over thePass Thurn to Mittersil where we join the Pinzgausteam train to Kimml, home of the highestwaterfalls in Austria. After some free time wetravel to Zell am See where we enjoy a boat tripon the lake before travelling back to the hotel.
It’s cameras at the ready as wetravel along the Inn and Ziller Valleys to Fuegenwhere we board the Ziller Valley Steam train toMayrhofen. Our return journey to the hotel will bevia the medieval town of Rattenburg which is wellknown for its hand blown glass products.
Our sightseeing tour today is to theTyrolean capital city of Innsbruck. On arrival, wewill be met by our city guide who will introduce usto the many vestiges that remain from Austria’simperial past including the 17th Century palaceand the ‘Golden’ roof of ‘Friedrich the Penniless’.
Our travels in the Tyrol come to an end as we make our way back to Metz for our fi nal overnight.
Completing the journey home via Calais and Dover.
