We depart and make our way to Perthshire,arriving in the afternoon where we enjoy 4 nightsstay with dinner, bed & breakfast.
We start with a drive to Pitlochry DamVisitor Centre, a lovely first stop which offersspectacular views of the dam, River Tummel andLoch Faskally with interactive displays and a café. Afterwards, we head into the City of Perth,‘Gateway to the Highlands’, where you can obtainlunch and be immersed in the culture of thiscentral Scottish City. Perhaps visit the PerthMuseum and Art Gallery or Perth’s Kirk of St. Johnthe Baptist.This afternoon we then travel to the centrepiece ofthe day “The Famous Grouse Experience”. You willtour the Glenturret Distillery and learn all thingsabout Scottish whisky, as well as enjoying a fewdrams of Famous Grouse.
This morning we head to Scone Palace, a 5star tourism attraction and the crowning locationof the Kings of Scots, including Robert The Bruce.The Palace houses a collection of paintings andrare artefacts as well and the grounds areimmaculate. The palace also hosts a café whereyou can enjoy one of “Scone’s” famous scones.After the splendid Scone Palace, we travel East,following the River Tay until we reach Dundee.Here you can obtain lunch and enjoy the richculture and heritage of the city. Perhaps visit the world-famous Antarctic research vessel RRSDiscovery. The city also hosts a wide range ofindependent stores you can visit.
Today we head south to the city of Stirlingwhere the morning is free to admire and enjoy thecity and perhaps visit Stirling Castle with itspicturesque views over the Scottish landscape.There is time to obtain your lunch and in theafternoon we leave to travel to Falkirk where wewill visit Callendar House & Park. Afterwards, onour return journey we then head to DobbiesGarden Centre where you can enjoy tea/coffee inthe Farm Food hall and browse the centre atleisure.
After breakfast we begin our journey home.
