We depart and make our way to Kentand our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner,bed and breakfast.
Tuesday
Today’s excursion takes us north alongthe coast to Broadstairs and Deal then to thehistoric cathedral city of Canterbury where wehave the afternoon to explore at your own pace.The city is dominated by the magnificentcathedral, now a World Heritage Site and thecity centre, being very compact, is best exploredon foot. There is a maze of intriguing side streetswith a rich variety of specialist shops andwelcoming cafes and pubs in which to relax.
Wednesday
Enjoy a day at leisure to discoverFolkestone where there is evidence of Romansettlement from the 1st Century A.D. and therecently restored harbour Arm with itsmagnificent views and a restaurant and barsadjacent to the Fishing Museum. Definitelyworth a visit!
Thursday
A short ride takes us to the smallresort of Hythe where we join the worlds famousRomney Hythe and Dymchurch railway – Kent’smainline in miniature. The train takes usalongside Romney Marsh to New Romney wherewe take a short break and rejoin the coach tocontinue to ancient Rye, one of the Cinque Ports,now some distance from the sea!
Friday
After breakfast we depart for home.
